One of the most common things I see—even in 1500+ games—is players missing obvious tactics or falling into traps because they forget to slow down and follow a system. That’s why I teach my students two simple but powerful habits:

♟️ The CC Rule – Checks & Captures
Before every move, quickly ask yourself:
✅ Can I give a check?
✅ Can I capture something?
✅ Can my opponent do the same to me?

It sounds simple—but it catches blunders before they happen and helps you spot tactics you’d otherwise miss.

🕰️ The TIM Rule – Think, Inspect, Move
Instead of rushing, follow this flow:

  1. Think about your opponent’s ideas

  2. Inspect all your options (tactics, threats, piece activity)

  3. Then, and only then, Move.

You’ll make fewer mistakes, and more importantly—you’ll understand the position better.

🎯 Progress Comes from Daily Habits
I always say: “Daily tasks
In my training program, every student receives structured daily work—tactics, endgames, positional training—and we stay in touch through daily chat to check progress, answer questions, and keep motivation high.

📬 I offer personalized coaching based on this method. If you're serious about improving and want clear structure, accountability, and support—feel free to message me or email dpolimac@gmail.com.

Let’s build good habits and enjoy the journey. 💪♟️
