So I’m ok but I always lose at chess. I’m better with my friends but when online I end up struggling.

Online gives us stronger competition than our friends.  I beat my friends often too in real life but online there is always people who are better than me, so I definitely lose more often.  But it helps us improve after all.

Statistically, you aren’t even okay at Chess, you are far below average even compared to other beginners, I’m afraid to say.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it just means that you have more improvement ahead of you to experience and enjoy. :)

Keep doing tactics, they work wonders at your level and well beyond.

Sorry to hear that you lose a lot at chess.  I'm glad that you want to get better.    I have tips and resources to help you improve your chess skills so you can win more games.

-Learn basic tactics such as the fork, discovered attack, pin, and more.  I offer interactive puzzles on my website:

-I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces”   and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.”  Both books are available on Amazon.com.  Both books are endorsed by chess masters!

-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.

-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”

I hope that this helps.

Ya it is easy to misjudge our skill level when playing with people who don't really understand how to play, I keep reminding myself that this is helping me to become a better sport.
