one thing that really helped after i reached 1200 ish on rapid was paying closer attention to central control; especially the 4,5,and 6 ranks

and to center opening moves around this part of the board and the idea of either gaining superiority or how best to navigate if this isnt the case

dont look for tactical knockouts every move but dont ignore current positions to miss a simple tactic that just opened

and start addressing opponent threats

just sort of “tighten” up- in all areas-

also- go over your games and be hard on yourself in analysis and you will find some habits that can be modified

Krikorian thank you for taking the time to properly review my games in detail and to provide that commentary. My puzzle score is quite high so I hadn’t thought I was missing tactics. You picked up on me blocking in bishops and general positional errors which I definitely need to work on.
