I was looking for some good opening but I couldn't find that matches my style so i invented one. Tortoise opening is very similar to it but this is different. 1. e4 e5 2. Bd3 (bishop developed) 3. c4 (space grab) 4. Nf3 (knight out) 5. Nc3 (second knight out) 6. Be2 (bishop moved to open d3) 7. d3 (center support + bishop opens) 8. O-O (king castled, rook activated) try this out and rate it

Later.

Thanks for making that.

Welcome

magipi

In a real game, your opponent makes moves too.

If you waste moves for no reason (like that nonsensical Bd3 followed by Be2 a few moves later) you will be simply worse.

No you won't i have tried it in real games

No offense but this is why youre rated 600.

I agree with #7. Openings are as important as midgames and endgames so please choose one that works because that wastes time and your opponent will have the advantage in space, tempi, and development and don’t make your own openings. Even Levy said that.

You said one that matches your style and I can guess that your style is time waster like no offense but I don’t see the idea. I can see the knight going to d5 but with so much tempi wasted your opponent will have been prepared by then. When you are a 600 this maybe works but at my level it never works.

Thanks for putting the board. My blindfold chess is not so good, but never mind maybe I don’t need it.

There are very good reasons for not inventing a new opening because you can’t hold up with it and can’t study it because you are just a 600 and even me a
Josh11live
1200 can’t study it because I am not a GM or any king of master and new openings are beaten by the metas being the Italian, the Spanish, the Scotch, and by so much more that your openings are can’t compete. All of this does not matter if it is just for fun but if you want to get better follow me instead.

Those who don't like it need not to use it i have used in 4 games and 3 win 1 draw and its working for me just posted it because I thought people would also like it

You know what. Fair, but don’t make 10 forums talking about this thing.

I just don’t want biginners to steer to a different direction, you know?

From my GM Coach: "Until youre a 2300 Fide Master, opening study should be no more than 10%-20% of youre study time."
