what begginers actually want
I think that what people should do is start with doing puzzles, playing with the coach, and playing assisted with adaptive bots. Then when they can defeat the adaptive bots with no help, or very little, they should move on to the intermediate bots and playing against other people.

Hey that's an interesting topic.
I myself skipped this rating bracket when I started out, but I know exactly what you mean. I'm a self-taught player who reached 2000+ OTB and in the beginning, it was difficult finding information that was not overwhelming.
I'll soon start to blog here on Chess.com as an accompaniment to my website. Both, on my site and here on my blog, you'll find instructive articles and exercises that are meant to strengthen the basics that are required to break that rating barrier.
Hey new friends I want you to know that don't be devastated that you lost a game cause you're just getting started remember that someone who made a mistake never learned something new so if you made a mistake in your game that means you learned something new! Whenever you are playing always keep an eye on all the pieces that are both yours and others, notice the positions of your pieces on the board and think about what move you can make and which move does not lead to a blunder. Always stay focused on the game and maybe one day you will be a chess grandmaster, helping thd new chess beginners
Beginners should not try to memorize opening sequences. They should concentrate on general opening principles, which apply to all openings. This saves much time and effort. You will eventually learn the openings as you play.
As a beginner myself, I can totally confirm: the biggest hurdle isn't the rules, it's actually knowing what to do next. A lot of the resources out there are either way too basic or they just dump a ton of jargon and options on you all at once. I would also like to share this. There are many interesting games with nice prizes. I hope you enjoy it.
