i can commonly do somewhat well against any other moves but d4 games i tend to lose or draw more idk why . mostly they play london / queens gambit so i dont know how to fend them off .
any suggestions for a good opening to know/learn for my elo level ?

You could learn the kings Indian but you’d have to learn how to be positional

Or just d5 and learn how to play against the London and queens gambit

One of my friends suggested to learn KID but i find KID really complex as its 9/10 times a Closed position and therefore i suck at mid-game .

I almost exclusively play the old Benoni, and at my level (1200) I haven't seen someone really counter it properly yet, usually the games I lose after Benoni are stupid sequences of moves by me.

QGA and Slav are the 2 I like the most... at below-master level I think it's better to play a fighting opening than a very theoretical positional one, you put the opponent under pressure immediately and if they can't handle it you equalize. The Slav applies a little more pressure than the QGA, especially in some of the early gambit lines... the QGA is more solid / reliable.

"Keep It Simple For Black" by IM Christof Sielecki...

This is a complete opening repertoire for Black, against 1.d4 (including how to combat the Queen's Gambit and the London System), 1.e4 (Black counter-attacks with the Caro-Kann, 1...c6), 1.c4, 1.Nf3, etc. This is an outstanding repertoire, interesting and well explained, which will serve you well for the rest of your chess career...

It is available as a book and as a Chessable course...

Here, an excerpt from Sielecki’s book, providing insight into its content….

It's noteworthy that several of the 1.d4 variations - the Queen's Gambit (Chapts. 9 & 10 of the book) and the Catalan Opening (Chapt. 11) - feature Black taking White's c4 pawn (...dxc4) in Queen's Gambit Accepted (QGA) fashion.
