Playing people is very different than playing bots. They make different sorts of moves and different kinds of mistakes. Bots and humans don’t calculate chess in the same way. If you want to get good at beating bots, then play bots. But if you want to actually get good at playing people you have to practice against actual people. It’s embarrassing at first when you make stupid mistakes, but everyone else is making those same blunders, so it’s okay.
Bots + Humans = Best Progress

I like playing against bot at or above my own level. I like the fact that they move fast and allow me time to ponder their move and my next one. I'm batting about 500 with bots ....better than with the live humans I play against.
