Why is my accuracy so unstable

Hey there! I know I am not very good at chess (600 rated) but I was wondering why in some games my accuracy is extremely high, like the one I just played was 91, but other times my accuracy is a 60 or even worse.

I know accuracy is based off how well you play, but what would cause me to play really poorly one game and then really well the next game?

Your Accuracy is a measurement of how closely you played to what the computer has determined to be the best possible play against your opponent's specific moves.

In general, there are some games where you get lucky and play well and others where you're just on a bad day and play worse. In addition, quick games give you less chances to make mistakes (and therefore, you get higher accuracy). Games where your opponent blunders immediately makes good moves easy to find.

Cool! Thanks for letting me know, any tips for improving accuracy?

It's normal to fluctuate & accuracy can be relative to an opponent's moves too. Play more & you'll have more high accuracy consistency. Practicing against a medium to difficult CPU with takebacks can help improve accuracy. 🙂
