1000 things a dumb chess player would do

Playing the grob's attack
A very successful IM used to routinely play, and with win the Grob in tournament play against strong players.
...

An IM can start with a knight down against a B player in 5 minute chess and probably still win.
Or spot the B player time - like his 2 minutes versus the B player's 5.
The B player isn't 'dumb'.
But he's in the IM's office.
That's like ... B player is in the water. Shark's in the water.
The water gets red.
'Dumb' would be the B player betting his boat on the game ...

Attack himself
opponent thought-he is attacking my enemy and the enemy of my enemy is my friend
hensfore I must help freind defeat enemy

When hustling at chess for money - its 'dumb' to win every game.
You've gotta let your mark win some of the games.
And when you win you've got to make it look much closer than it is ...
the mark's got to think: 'hey I almost won that - with just a little more effort ...'

x: you play f3 then g4 because you thought that was the world's strongest opening (your 4 year old brother lied to you)
Trash talking and lose.
