Everyone you play is giving you a free chess lesson.

You just joined two weeks ago. I would recommend you keep using the Chess Mentor and Tactics Trainer.  You will make progress.

Stop playing just Blitz.

Look deep inside your heart and ask yourself why it is that you want to be a better chess player. When you have a deep understanding of yourself and this desire, the way forward will become obvious. Here are some options:

1) Bragging rights

Have people always considered you to be on the lower end of the IQ scale? Perhaps you've always been unremarkable in everything you do. You're looking for something to be truly good at, and what can be more impressive than excelling in the number one thinking man's game?

2) You want to beat some superior opponent

There's that one guy (or girl) that always beats you. They always rub it in your face. They're with the girl (or boy, I'm not judging) of your dreams, and they bully you at every chance they get. Sometimes it seems like this person's sole purpose in this world is to be a hollywood-esque antagonist in your life. You don't really care about getting better; you just want some cheap trap to beat this opponent.

3) You judge people's self worth by their chess rating.

For you, it isn't so much about getting better as it is about getting a higher rating. There isn't really a final goal; you will always just want to be about 200 points higher than your current rating. You might start a chess.com group for people at your rating and above. You're looking for some quick shortcut to get a better rating so you can have a temporary boost of self confidence.

Because its doing something for someone, its called a selfless act.  I teach for free all the time.
