hmm, i think i'd have to turn the music off as soon as i was out of book. Some of us only have one brain.
I don't know. Calm music. Like just random songs. It doesn't matter what. Just calm, soft, sometimes sad. The irony is that I'm a really really really attacking player.

Music doesn't affect my playing style at all. I usually listen to death/black/progressive metal.

I like anything that doesn't distract me too much, like lighter classical music...
Or something 'spacey' like Pink Floyd's "Echoes" (or other Floyd epics).
I can't listen to die-hard favorites like Queen, as it pulls my attention away from the game!

Actually the same goes for me. Enigma is another good one for chess.
