Don't know why the numbering starts at 2, but then I I don't understand 4...Ne5. Seems to just donate the knight.

It does save the queen. Though It might not have been worth it - Sacrificing two pieces for the queen. It might be better for Black to play 4...Bd6 5. Bxh5 Nxh5

I don't think Black is sacrificing any pieces. I think White's a tempo short. After 3...Qh4 4.Kh2 BxP Black threatens to attack the queen from c5. White then looks to have more problems than Black.
