Chess Puzzles

I would like to address what I consider to be an unfair scoring system in chess puzzles. In some puzzles, if you fail to play the correct final move, you can lose as many as 12 points, even if you have solved most of the puzzle correctly. This feels overly harsh and discouraging.

In the past, the system worked differently. Even if you made a mistake at the very end, you could still receive +5 points for understanding the main idea of the puzzle and finding the key moves. That approach felt much fairer and more motivating, especially for learning players.

Chess puzzles are meant to help players improve their calculation and understanding, not to punish them excessively for a single mistake. Losing a large number of points because of one incorrect final move does not reflect the overall quality of the attempt. I believe the previous scoring system was more balanced and better supported learning and enjoyment of chess.
