is it against the rules of chess to bring tarot cards, crystals and a glass ball to a tournament? :-)

As long as you don't chant, sing, howl, or otherwise disturb the players, it should be OK.

be careful not to touch any pieces while dealing out the cards; with the touch rule and all.
