The former English footballer Fitz Hall had the nickname 'One size'. Probably my favourite. I also like ex rugby player Martin Offiah 'Chariots' and ex cricketer Monde Zondeki 'All hands'. Snooker players have bad nicknames...World Champion Mark Selby is 'The jester from Leicester' and Anthony Hamilton is 'The Sheriff of Pottingham' (he is from Nottingham).
.. A 'rich' & rather extensive, list of 'nicknames', and accessible online ; Are the 'names' of the equine, or 'horse' entrants, in the "Kentucky Derby"; Since, its' inception ; However long ago.
Oddly, the most famous name ; Does Not bring to mind, any associative image.. Other, than the legend, of the 'horse' itself ! .. "Secretariat"{!}
"Missouri_Breaks" <- As a 'handle' of course ; Which refers to a 'ruggedly spectacular' and beautiful, section of 'Montana'.. {a 'usa' state}.. Which, in a geo-physical sense, refers to, a series of picturesque 'breakwaters' .. Though, in a 'sporting' sense, of course.. Refers to, the 'breaks' of-the-game, as-it-were .. And hopefully, 'rolling-with-them'.. As opposed to being, discouraged & defeated, by them !
