CREATE THE BEST/WORST CHESS PIECES

the penguin. it can capture only straight. it can move only vertically. if it reaches the end, it becomes a polar bear, can move like a queen, capture like a queen, and can only be captured if it's penguin or the opponent's penguin touch it diagonally or horizontally or vertically.

The banana. It exists. Pieces can eat it to promote

The foot. It kills anything that smelled it( i mean checking it)

The Gemini

takes the places of the two rooks. moves like a rook, but you can only move in one of the four avaliable directions.... when direction is chosen, both pieces move in that direction until either they capture a piece or they hit a wall.

cannot take pawns, however. treats pawns as if they were wall blocks.

The fanatic. Can only go near pieces, because they like all of the pieces and even if captured, it can respawn if king isn’t checkmated yet.

The Tadpole: it is like a pawn, it can only move one square at a time, but fi something is in front of it, it can jump over it. If it is the opponent's piece it is jumping over, the piece is captured. It can also jump over its own pieces. But, if it ever does reach the end of the board, it can turn into a squid (ik that doesn't make any sense) or a frog. A squid can travel diagonally, and how the knight travels. Also, the squid would also be able to change squares. If a squid is on a dark square for example, it can move one space to go into a light square. It of course can jump like the knight because it can move like the knight and bishop, just with a extra tweak. The frog, however is different. It is like a rook, and it can move horizontally and vertically, but, if the king is in a dangerous position, or there is a checkmate, the frog can hop all the way to protect the king. This can happen only once, and one the frog is there it STAYS there until a tadpole goes over it or something captures it. The frog can also hop over pieces, but only vertically, and instead of one space it can be up to two, so you can choose if you want it to be one or two squares. The squid and the frog are only obtainable by the tadpole getting promoted when it reaches the opposite side.. I also think that the tadpole should be in the G and B files, because they could help with kingside/queenside attack and can be really useful. They would replace the G and B pawns, then. Tadpole: 2 pts

Squid: 6 pts

Frog: 7 pts

The Thrower

•it only appears when player is in a tough situation

• gives two choices to you:

1.) keep on playing

or…

2.) gives you permission to throw the chessboard in a fit of rage

•can only use it once in a lifetime (probably because nobody wants to play chess with you anymore)

a grub, does absolutely nothing and sits there on the board, worth .5 material and shown in picture

The intercontinental ballistic missile. Once per game, may launch to initiate nuclear warfare, wherein the opponent must guess the target of the strike (one of the squares). If he guesses incorrectly, the missile blows up all his pieces. If he guesses correctly... the missile blows up all his pieces. Can only use with a high enough Intelligence score (determined by the formula 70Y/(sin(Y)*sqrt(X)), where Y is the number of youtube tutorials watched, and X is the amount of time spent on Twitter/X). (Idea inspired by Tennison Gambit Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Variation)
