Was My System actually thrown?
GRANDMASTER CRIMINAL PROSECUTION BEGINS TODAY

Was My System actually thrown?
Yeah, by me, out the window, when I realized I didn't understand one iota of what Aron was getting at.

Panko Smoobachuk Faces Multiple Counts of Extortion, Counterfeiting, and Unlawful Possession of a Squeegee
Snippenwood, XW - Mar. 2, 2022: Controversial grandmaster Panko Smoobachuk, known to his underworld compatriots as "Fingers Fianchetto", goes on trial today at the Butch Cassidy Criminal Courts Building in downtown Snippenwood. If convicted, Smoobachuk faces up to 20 years in prison, $80 million in fines, and a smack in the face with a big, floppy flounder.
Prosecutor William Barstool promised a speedy trial and a just outcome. I spoke with Barstool earlier today.
"How strong is your case against Mr. Smoobachuk?" I asked.
"Very strong, " he said. "This creep's going down, I tell ya'. I'm gonna' throw the book at em'!"
"What book is that?"
"MCO, 11th edition, " he answered. "I might even hit em' with Nimzowitsch's My System!"
Renowned attorney Alan "Loophole" Dishowitz will be defending the accused woodpusher. In a statement this morning, Dishowitz proclaimed his client's innocence.
"Mr. Smoobachuk has been the target of a malicious prosecution. It's a witch hunt! Barstool's whole case is a tissue of lies. And worse than that.... it's a kleenex of lies! My client is absolutely innocent of these trumped up charges, and of the 'Biden'-ed up charges, too!" Dishowitz declared.
I asked Mr. Dishowitz what his defense strategy for the trial would be.
"It's simple," he said, "I intend to show that Mr. Smoobachuk is not responsible for his actions due to diminished capacity...... In other words, the guy is nuts."
"Do you have any proof to support this claim?" I asked.
"Proof? Are you kidding?" he said, "Have you ever met Panko? The man is bonkers!"
To further bolster his case, Dishowitz has submitted into evidence one of Smoobachuk;s games.
"You can clearly see that my client, playing with the black pieces against 1.e4, assays the insane 1...e6?! What kind of a nut plays that stupid move? We all know the French defense is completely unsound, and anyone who plays it is just a lunatic!"
Here's the game submitted into evidence. Smoobachuk's opponent is French pastry chef Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Comments are by Alan Dishowitz.
"When the jury sees this blunderfest, there will be little doubt in their minds. Verdict: Panko Smoobachuk is nuttier than a fruitcake." Dischowitz said.
