How to "hack" your rating

oh, yeah those inspect element tricks, they are pretty cool but everyone just figures it out by making you press reload button. And really that is not called hacking, the developer tools are there to teach new coders or a company trying to rival another company's formulas and stuff

This doesn't modify the database. All it does is temporarily modify the display for you (and not for anyone else), and it goes away as soon as you refresh the page.
Good for a fun screenshot, but nothing more.
You know, back in the good old days, we had to use whiteout and rewrite what we wanted. Ruined many a good monitors.

speaking of illusions, there is a theory( or rather a hypothesis) that says that there are a lot of universes, actually infinite, ( one is almost the same as ours except hitler cures cancer in that one) so each is a possibility, each is different in its own way and every one of those have a different possibility. so if this is true, then time is an illusion, it doesnt actually exist, our universe is just a possibility amongst another infinite amount. everything we did, are doing and are going to do is meant to happen in the first place so everything happens simultaniousely and we cant change it. so all living things think time exists but it doesnt. hard to imagine, huh, thats cause ur alive!!!!!!

Yeah, it changes the display temporarily, so you can take a screenshot, but it doesn't actually modify the database.
I will show you how to "hack" your rating. It's not really hacking, though.
First, go to a page with your rating number. For example, this link: https://www.chess.com/stats/live?type=daily (Stats)
Now, right click the rating number and click "inspect element"
Right click the highlited code and click "Edit as HTML". Then, change the rating (Any number).
You should get this by then.
Then, click the "x" button to close inspect.
You should get this by then. Troll your friends!
This only temporarily lasts. Once you leave the page, it becomes it's usual rating.
