If I had a time machine, I would go back in time and pay someone to punch me in the head any time I tried to play chess so I wouldn't catch chess fever. It is too late for me know, so I must suffer with this affliction for the rest of my life. Even in the darkest moments, when you've hacked up game after game against patzers to the utmost degree, when you're ready to karate chop your board in half and drop the pieces into the garbage disposal, even then it is impossible to get this demon chess out of your system. It's some sort of sadistic disease that doens't want to kill you, just maim you....over and over.
We would finally resolve the Morphy vs. modern GMs debate, so it would be a horrific loss to chess forums everywhere.

Looks like we'll have to time-travel to the future to get some of that genuine anti-aging cream
It would be neat to recieve a lecture from Steintz. I don't think going back in time to change a move would be any good- you would just be the same chess player.
I would go back and watch George Harrison sitting around in that house on Blue Jay Way waiting for the other guys to come back. After all, it did inspire a Beatles song...okay, a crappy Beatles song...hm, maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.
Okay, how about this? You go back to the time when Led Zeppelin got together for their first practice, when supposedly it was like magic from the get-go.
Of course, if it turns out it didn't sound so good after all...another great moment from history shot down the drain.

I like the Blue Jay Way idea... but if AndyClifton was there, George wouldn't be bored and Magical Mystery Tour would have sounded differently... perhaps a lot like the sound of flying, flesh-eating dinasaurs... but instead yoko only sang on the white album...
It probably would've (but fortunately headier heads prevailed).
