The last one was a typo, I meant to write pawn a7 (indicating it captured to b6 later). And with the king moves I was thinking "retro", so I made the mistake of not writing down forward moves.  But I'm glad I got it right.

You didn't move the black squared bishop for black pieces, cause you didn't move the "unlocking" pawns yet. Therefore, you cannot castle your king to that position nor move it through the pawn barrier ^^

^ That was fast! Smile  The actual puzzle asked for the piece or pawn which does not "belong" on the board. Or in other words, the challenge was to remove a piece or pawn from the board so that the position is legal. Cool
