Knights are better than Knights as they can fork in more ways than bishops

Look knights are better for forking which means that more material can be taken.

If your opponent and you have a pawn wall your bishop(s) are going to be trapped while the knight can jump over the pawns

Fun fact: a bishop can fork too. Also can pin and skewer which a knight can't.

But yes, knights are cooler.

KNIGHT ALL DAY LONG!!!

Even though knights do NOT control as many squares than bishops do, I pick knights over than bishops. If it comes to forking other pieces, knights get the job done. If it comes to skewering, bishops get the job done. (Yes. Rooks and queens do exist and are great for skewering and etc. but this article is about bishops and knights.)

Bishops are good in open positions, but knights are good in closed ones.

Stockfish likes bishops more than knights, and so do I. In endgames, most of the time they are open, bishops are. 1000x better.
