cheese cobra is so confused as how it became a steak that it eats itself, creating such a rift in spacetime that the position reverts back a few moves
The board turns to normal besides a watch appears under a space that isn't occupied by any pieces, and the number resets to 1.
The ducks refuse to be defeated and re-invade the board, exiling the White King to Ebla and executing the Black king because he was eating broiled chicken when they broke into his tent.

There were so many ducks on the board that they all made a pile so tall that they could climb back up. White's king is still exiled at Ebla anyway so go figure.

Black falls asleep at the board, knocking over all pieces on the c-, d-, e-, and f-files. We forgot where they were so they're all set back where they were at the very beginning.
Unfortunately, the pieces are setup in such a way that his king is mated. His other pieces turn to zombies.
