No chess isnt a circus, but neither its a game of just waiting 2 minutes per move.
They realy do 2 minutes for every move... who teached them that?, its a bad practice.
And not fun to play against, i mean you dont learn anything of the play even if you loose, its boredom.
And dont get me wrong i've played exiting games that took 2 hours, 70 moves. which i could replay out of my head afterwards.. so yes chess can be exciting.. but this is just i realy wonder how to deal with it, i'm even thinking of stopping OTB although i'm just a 2 year member.
Sad i because i just want to play games to learn from win/loose doesnt matter.
But (even if) its a psychological trick..add 2 minutes for every move... thats not the way to me.
OTB games loosing from lower level, boring slow play, how to enjoy?

Well in my recent OTB club games I frequently lose.
But in a strange way, I'm pretty sure my opponent isn't at my level in chess.
However they win, and I would be okay with that if it were great games, but they are not.
I'm asking for some advice here.
I spot weaknesses in their games, which they don't see at all. (which I discuss afterward)
Though they're not always easy to exploit by me, it's rather the way of play I see, putting pieces back to previous positions, late casting, and various other tactical mistakes.
So then why do I fail, play a lot of chess here 5 min games.
On the clock, they spend 50+ minutes, while my clock is around ~6 minutes.
In my club, I don't see people play faster than me. I notice my analysis just works alot faster.
Though its a problem too.
My opponents even for very simple beginning take 2 minutes or more per move.
And the games start with 'easy' moves easy takes, no forks etc. So this goes on till about move 24 or so, and then my opponent makes (finally) a good move, instead of a reactfull play.
Often they lack ideas but (because of 2 minutes a move), they by gods end finally got something thrown (by me) that I missed.
Since I only spend on average 30 sec (most moves directly only a few take time to think)
So at some point in a boring game, i lose the attention and miss it, losing the game.
My problem is I get bored on the board, I am kindful, but to me it's just no fun.
They say the short games aren't real chess, but it's not a goal of mine.
I dont need to take 10 minutes for the first 5 moves, I know openings.
How do you deal with it, when players just take all their time to play a mostly boring give-take game no forks, and they don't know openings? So you lose rather out of boredom and losing interest in the particular game.
I can be focused for example I can code 16hours nonstop.
For me, it's like being used to waterfalls, but you got forced to watch a pond with ducks.
I would really like to play and enjoy great OTB games, though it just happens rarely.
I don't mind losing to a stronger player, it's about having a great chess evening.
But how do i keep the joy with such opponents?.
