Sorry if it was too easy, I did say it was about a 1300-1500 level player puzzle.

I want/need puzzles my level or just slightly above. I do not need master level 10-moves (20ply) deep puzzles...cannot do them anyway. I do notice that there are not much puzzles for lower levels. It just seems like the puzzles are geared toward hard-core players that are way up there in rating, so I posted one of mine.

NM tonydal; I think you are right about h5, although it just prolongs the inevitable. I think black should just resign after the (white's) first move.

I'm not sure what you consider a puzzle of level 1300-1500, but here's a puzzle anyway. I'm especially interested to hear what Tonydal thinks of this one...

but black could've played 1...Qxa3 (Nytik's puzzle)

 I was thinking the same thing. Why is Qxa3 not played? Is there something the white can do that I am missing? Why Kg8?

It is a mistake in the puzzle. I have now rectified it.

 I'm glad you thought it was fun, I did. Tal's (play) games just makes me think so different (makes me smile). Things I do not even consider he is so familiar with like it was normal; it's not.  He is an amazing player.

What I consider ~1500 level puzzle are things that I can solve/figure-out because I am of that level. Things that I cannot solve (unless given a hint) I would say are above my level. The "~" means approximate; does not signify that it is absolute. Someone might end up thinking that the puzzle is lower or higher, but I would say that's because they have a higher level/rating than me.

Ok then. What I really meant was I can't determine what sort of puzzle would constitute a 1500 puzzle. Tell me how difficult this one is for you:

Solved it in about 15 seconds, first try, no mistakes. Actually worked out all the moves first before doing.

I'm not asking for others to figure out what a ~1500 level puzzle might be. If someone is ~2000 and has a hard time with a puzzle, then most likely a ~1500 player will have an even hard time with it.

I saw that puzzle before.

Won't let me move the pieces. Although Queen sacs are good puzzle; especially if more than 2 moves. I would probably have to pull out the real deal and work it out (otb). Although, (at first glance, just evaluating the position) it looks very good for white just from the look of things.

I'm just pulling these things from master games, so it is quite likely you will have seen it.
