The Bongcloud stuff and the hate wasn't gonna be tolerated in my threads. If you wanna allow that, that is fine with me. I think that Kasparov and Capa are better than Fischer, but if someone disagreed with me in the appropriate thread of mine, I wouldn't block them, unless it went personal.

OH but cmibu. You have all the time in the world to post lots of items and responed over and over. I know, what you post is so very important. Now that story took only about 5 minutes. It's worth reading.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.  I must admit it is not my favourite piece - I prefer When Immortals Duel and the sci-fi ones but thats mainly because I would rather read them.  I did expect the crossword would get most hits when I posted the pieces so I am a little amazed this one got so much attention.  I think maybe it got bumped by everyone posting and that made more people notice it.  Still, again thanks for the feedback - it always cheers me up.

I enjoyed your short story. I hear it isn't very expensive to self publish these days. I could imagine a small market for a collection of chess themed short stories.
