Whoa, you guys are good. Only Gimli remains unsolved. Wives was Alekhine, Cigars was Lasker, and Iceland was Fischer to be certain.

Didn't Kasparov have 3 wives as well ?

I'll give myself a pass for Nimzovich as an answer to 'cigar' ("the threat is greater than the execution"), but I agree Lasker has to be the right answer.

What a great article! In Australia, where smoking is only permitted underwater, and cigarette packets are collector's items due to the gruesome pictures shown thereon, there is a ban on smoking where food is served, which has led to hotels prohibiting food in certain areas as otherwise they would lose their smoking patrons entirely.


I am thinking of migrating to Russia, or at least rural Russia.

 

Another reason to think that Vlad is not all bad.
