This morning I won yet another tournament and the idea hit me that in addition to awarding virtual trophies why not give out real trophies as well. I know they cost money so if a member wins a tournament and wants one, chess.com could charge a small fee and ship one out. Maybe a way for this website to improve the old bottom line.

I agree with you! But what meaning do any trophies have? If a man works hard and wins a boxing tournament and gets a trophy does that have meaning? It just means that you shouldn't do anything to make him mad! Nonetheless it would be fun to have a few shiny trophies sitting on my shelf. When most people see trophies they are impressed no matter how meaningless they are.
