If you have the extra queen, go for the kill. Bring any other pieces (major,minor or even pawns) and go for their king. If it's a endgame with few pieces, bring your king out or first eliminate the pieces.

If you lost your queen, take a look at the position before resigning. Things to look for (This all is what your opponent has): Exposed king, weak pieces, cramped position. This is what your position needs: Active pieces, safe king, and a flexible plan.

I've been some major material down but in tournaments fight for as long as you can. My USCF rating is 1571

lol..... I thought that a queen could do whatever she wanted to do...
