King is worst piece, try to get rid of it exchange it even sac it for a pawn or two
What's your LEAST favorite chess piece, and why?
Bishops and queens are trash in closed positions. Knights are almost useless in open positions. If you're going to trade bishop for knight, I recommend closing the position quickly. If the position is closed and you're going to trade knight for bishop, open the entire position.
I dislike the queen. Here is why:
1. u get forked by ur opponent's queen
2. It is the most valuable piece (besides the king) and it gets chased around by random pawns.
3. U often get checkmated by your opponent's queen
4. there is only ONE queen per side.
Chess should have harem variant where every piece beside the king is replaced by queens.
The bishop never saves me.
I agree - checkmating with 1 or 2 bishops is very difficult. I find them VERY irritating 🙄.
bishops are never helpful even though the best players say bishops are better than knights. bishops are too easy to escape from, get forced into a trade, etc
rooks. tired of having to always save them from a cheap bishop, and theyre useless at defending themselves for a piece thats literally meant to portray a defensed castle... to be honest im not sure ive ever considered a rook nearly as useful as a knight. too much work to activate for how little they manage to help.
rooks are best in endgames because in the end game you are facing mostly pieces with equal or higher value. And rooks are usually good at hunting down pawns.
hate my own king, worthless piece i need to protect until the endgame. only helpful thing it does is help my rook out when castling
