advice on analysis

Hi guys, I'm new to this site have been plying online for a couple of year on another site. This was one of my first games, so I thought I'd give the "game analysis" a try to see what it comes up with. All that I want to ask is opinions on my move 9.BxH6, according to the analysis a mistake, and castling short would be better...I don't agree with this though? with my LSB on C4 my F3 knight and the 2 pawns advancing I feel black would have to do quite a bit to get out of this situation even if he didn't go for Bxh4. Would really appreciate some comments and views on this. Looking forward to meeting new friends and opponents on this site :)

paul has a good point with the better opponents defending better, black defended very sloppily against the attack.

Personally i like the idea, you technically only lost 1 immediate point and completely destroyed his king side structure and that is a risk i would gladly take if there wasn't any immediate defens.

Thanks for the great replies guys I really appreciate it. And yes I should have mentioned that my opponents rating was only about 1500odd so I wasn't to worried about going all out guns blazing, and yes I'm not sure if i would have had the balls to do it against a 1700+ rated player, BUT I still feel even against a stronger player they would have to defend very well to avert the attack. And as Paul mentioned there were definetly better moves to be payed after 9.BxH6 but even so, there were a few critical setups on the board that made me take the descision which as I already mentioned, my LSB on C4 that renders his F pawn useless until he moves his king, the other factor, all my pieces on Q side eveloped so I can castle long in one move to either protect king or get the rook in on the king side action, his knight on F6 blocking his dark Bishop from going to G5 chasing my queen and blocking the G file. My initial plan was not to get a mate so soon with my Q and Knight but rather to get my G and H pawns going and both rooks on these  files and I feel black would have had to defend for quite a while because attacking my queenside would have taken to long as he had no pieces in place, so even if I had to trade both nights and my LSB I feel with his G an H files exposed , my 2 pawns advancing immediately and both rooks being able to occupy the G and F file in a total of 3 moves, black would have had a very difficult time defending, even a better rated player, but yes obviously a 2000+ rated player would be able to get out of such a position (or rather not in it in the first place ;) but thanks again for your views guys and please add more or correct me if you do not agree with any of the above or if I'm maybe missing an attack that black could have launched and destroyed me before I had a chance to start my attack down the kingside??

Cheers

Ollie
