Analysis please
I am not qualified to give an analysis but did you have time to consider a plan after 25...Rxe6? 26...Re5 looks better to me.
Yes. I would have tried to do the same. 26 . . . Re5 appears to open up activity for your pieces. I am sure you recognize with his 26. b3 he is trying to shut you out so you need to seize initiative. Easy for me to say, not so easy OTB.
also after 45 kxe3, I thought if I could control f3 with bishop, then advance my K to clean up the panws, but I missed, 46 Kf4
I had in mind for black bishop to get behind to d1 then possibly black can prevent white queening and draw may result. Needs someone better than me for acurate analysis!
26. ... Rd7 and 27. ... N8e7 cutting the rook off from getting to the kingside don't make sense together.
Taking the knight on f5 and giving him all those supported pawns made your position harder to play.
30. ... Nh8 severely limits your options. ... Nh4 looks better (31. g6 Kg7 gets two pawns for your piece, 31. Rf4 Rh7 and ... Bc8 should get two pawns for the piece).
When you finally decide to give material back with 32. ... Nxg6 you only get one pawn for the piece.
40. ... e3+ turned your rook into a defender. 40. ... Rf8 and takes on f6 looks better.
