i dont think ur just 900..ur a very good player :-)
Beat 1500+ (I'm under 900) ELO. What do you think?

At move 8 I immediately thought, "White is somewhat passive, though that queen is well centralized and with no knight to chase her seems like a somewhat permanent advantage and the only way to chase her is to create needless positional concessions. Maybe Be2,0-0,Re1,and Bf1 with a reversed Philidor like position with the idea of restraining and pressuring the e5 pawn?"
That's quite a long immediate thought.
Just translating impressions and recalling Philidor positions from My System for comparison into words. We don't actually think verbally during a real game.

of course he isnt playing on 900-level, thats more than obvious. I guess either he is sandbagging or a friend was playing for him. F5 is a move that 90% wouldnt play. But I dont get what is so good on Rad8? I mean its good to understand that the knight has no escape at all but what is Rad8 doing? Not much...

I wouldn't add complication myself. Just take the piece.

I agree Scottrf

A long time 900 rated player playing Rad8 in a 3 minute game is not plausible to me.
Maybe he didn't see exf3 at first, he's 900 after all

600 points difference in ELO rating = 3% chance of winning. Much, much better odds than winning the lottery!

f5 was beautiful and I wouldn't have even considered it in a classical game. In my mind, it would just be so much easier to convert a material advantage with a slight positional advantage than to complicate matters. Very well done!

What do you think? Did I do alright? 3 Minute Round!
I think your nuts.

of course but it's too complex for a 900. Unless you just joined the site and you're underated but that's not the case here (you joined in December). Thing is if you managed to make those moves f5 and Rd8 here then why is your rating still 900 after 9 months, it just don't add up.
1. I am under-rated.
2. Sometimes I see really good moves just by looking at the board.
3. Other times I just get lucky.
4. I don't believe it's too hard at all.
5. o.o
I think you have the same problem I do - your play is not consistent. Just compare the game you shared with this one:
Sure, you may have been tired but I would say that as long as you keep playing more or less random moves like in the game above your rating will be low. It happens to me, too. I sometimes do not focus at all and when someone looks at two games you/I played they find it hard to believe they were played by the same person. Look at these two:

Very nice win.... however...
I think you should refrain from playing bullet and blitz. There's a reason you're still at 947 and have played over 800 games. Just my opinion though.... Peace

Yeah you over under rate yourself. Or your opponent could also be a new player who hasn't gotten his official rate. But, in anycase, blundering a queen like that at 1500+ happen now and then. It happened to me while playing multiple games, plus watching tv and a little drunk, cheers ;-)

Funny how many people believed the OP played this game... or that the game was played by a 900 player.

I just verified that this is a 1500 vs stockfish with 100% accuracy to the top two move suggestions, lmao.

Not sure how you aren't banned though, these moves are perfectly consistent with stockfish 5? Shouldn't this fail the cheat detection tests?

Definitely suspicious. I would not have played 12.f5 in a 30 0 game let alone a 3 0. Even in classic time controls I'm not sure I would have looked for it, let alone found it. I've played 800-900 elo players and it is nearly impossible to lose to them. Pieces are usually hanging all over the place and the only sure way to lose is to resign.
Post #39 pretty much seals the OP as at least a sandbagger. Short of suffering brain trauma the loss to the ELO 700 player cannot be the same player who won in the original post.
Great game, very well played. Keep it up!
