I've been learning how to play over the last couple of months. I think my major weakness is trying to get mate too quickly after the opening. My midgame is messy, lacking focus and unsatisfying.
Here is a typical example of my game. I'm white the opponent is a Chessmaster 9000 AI with a 1250 rating. I can see a few points where a better player would have punished me. Any advice, hints or pointers on what I should currently be focusing on to improve my game would be appreciated. Cheers.
