Beginner's Queen Pawn fiasco

So, below is one recent off-hand "blitz" game I was playing on a mobile computer . . . had one eye on the screen and trying to play while I was out getting hassled by a couple of cops about some non-chess related stuff.

I'm playing the black pieces and lost my queen early on but won it back.  Unfortunately I had to take off in the middle of the game and didn't even have time to hit the resign button.

I did my own annotations.  So what's the deal with this game?  And what's this "Trompowsky Attack" stuff all about?  Tips and advice plz.  Thanks in advance.

Hey, I get loads of hassle from cops about non-chess related stuff too. Hardly ever get hassle about chess related stuff.

Trompowsky is the 2.Bg5 move. It's essentially just a bluff opening, nothing you really need to know about it apart from be careful as usual.

Tip number 1: Giving up the queen is bad. You didn't mention that in your annotations. Giving 4...Nxe4 a dubious mark is sublimely ridiculous when it should of course be a ??.

Then you magically got back in the game thanks to White's ineptitude. Honestly, there is nothing to learn from this game apart from - don't make silly blunders like hanging queens or losing pieces. Everything else falls into inconsequence against that.

What happens when a cop beats you in chess? Is that considered police brutality?Cool

4...Nxe4 ??? is of course bad. But 3...Bb4 is correct, because if 4.e4 (?) h6 5.Bxf6 (otherwise Bh4 g5 and e4 is lost) Qxf6 and Black is better develped, while having retained the pair of bishops.

5...Nc6 ?? is not even trying to get some material back. 5...Nxc3 get only a piece back if White finds 6.Qf3 !, but as the game showed, he might get wrong.

9.Rb1 ? is the act of a corrupt policeman letting the knight get out, while 9.Ra2 ! would cut all his retreat squares.

10.Bb5 loses an exchange, or a piece.

In the final position, I would say Black has a decisive advantage (one more pawn + development + weakness on c3), but based on how the rest of the game was played, it's worth trying to draw (win) with White.
