Had a "brilliant" move today. Seemed pretty easy to find. According to the analysis, it was the only move that wasn't a blunder. Maybe this is what qualifies it as "brilliant".
I never get a brilliant move but I got 1 player that made a brilliant move and it was developing the knight

So a brilliant move is the best move that even the Chess Engine didn't find out about until you did it.



Actually the statement "Engines can find brilliant moves. They just didn't calculate enough."
Is sometimes false. I have found brilliant moves that the best chess engines could not find no matter how long they calculate.
