how do i castle oin this game, what buttons do i hold

move your king to the square it will land on when it is castled.

Just a random trivia. Books suggest when you castle OTB, it is preferable to move the king first, then the rook over the king. I always found this funny.

that makes sense since you can just move the rook over and not castle.  if you move the rook first it may be considered a completed move and not let you move the king.

That is because castling is a king move. In an OTB match, if you touch the rook first, your opponent could insist that you now must move the rook if touch move is in effect.
