After 33.Ne7 Kg7, you have 34 Qh7+ ! Kf6 (only move) 35 Nd5+ and there is a mate in a few moves, with all your pieces playing :)
Just a comment about "I thought I read somewhere that there is a surefire way to pick up the pawn again, but I don't remember." : black can defend his pawn, but if he does, you can get a big center and he must accept a bad pawn structure on the queenside.
And last piece of advice : watch your rooks ;)
Clearly dropping the rook was bad. I'm mostly talking about the end, not sure if taking the safe way out (although up a rook and bishop ain't bad) was right or if there was a mate. Other comments are appreciated, though.
