Learn your chessopenings. Nc3 is not good. e4 is terrible f3???? even worse. Try learning one solid opening with white. i recommend to keep the d4 and play the queensgambit.
Did I make blunders?
I agree with Campione. I think there were tons of "inaccuracies" if not outright mistakes. The opening didn't go by the book, led very quickly to a queen shoot out, blood and guts all over the place. Wow. Must have been lots of fun.
Actually, it is by the book - that's the Blackmar Diemer Gambit folks. Not an opening you see in regular tournaments BUT effective at amateur level. 2.Nc3 is NOT necessarily an accuracy...maybe if you are playing for the world championship, then Anand could exploit that? :)
What White played here is playable (at amateur level). 5.Qxf3, though is an offbeat variation of an offbeat opening. Hahahaha.
As for the computer - LittleChessPartner, maybe it is playing at hard level. BUT that still depends on the hardware of the computer. Play against hard level of LittleChessPartner on a mobile phone and you could give it a spanking. :D (I know because I did back then.)
It was a fun game nevertheless. 18...Rd8 looks like the losing move. I think 18...Nbd7 - and it could still be anybody's game.
TIm's Gambit Cartel over ChessCafe.com has several articles devoted to this Gambit. Maybe you guys want to check it out.
Hope that help,
