You were plating with a GM personality from CM... Any given one has a true FIDE 2400-2500 rating theres no way you would even manage a draw but well played anyhow.

Ya you are right. But it would have just belated my doom. I think my biggest mistake was allowing him to exchange my bishops. In such a open game, his bishop without opposition from mine was very advantageous to him

I agree with tonydal, 13.b4 was necessary. You're pawn up but Black has a pair of bishops, so the position is about equal.

IMO 5.Qe2 was better. I don't see how can Black defend his e5 pawn.
