I would speculate that the numbers in parentheses would give you the time (in seconds) it took the engine to evaluate to the depth given in the first column. In your example, it looks like the calculation up to the depth of 8 ply was instantaneous. In the link above, it looks like it took the engine 133.41 seconds to get to 27 ply depth.

You are wrong crazy chess playa. - something means black is better. + means white is better in that position. And as the position plays out the evalutation changes. those are 8 varations show by the engine and all those moves are the moves that the engine shows you. and (0.00) means the position is drawish. which means both sides are equal and there is no advantage either for black or white. And I believe you have the depth of moves for stockfish set on a really low depth. You can increase it by going into the settings of the engine and you can see from there. I hope this helps.
The value in the square-brackets [ and ] is the evaluation. The OP is asking about the 0.00 in the parenthesis at the end of the line. Crazychessplaya is correct and it is the amount of time it takes to get that far in the variation.
If you turn on the engine information pane you can see that the time spent on the variation matches as it gets each additional ply farther along.

The numbers in the "()" brackets are referring to the time it took the engine to reach that depth. Thank you for the advice and for all the comments I really appreciate that, what a wonderful community!
I know you can make the depth much deeper and in truth it was a lot deeper I just didn't want to make the post unnecessarily long so copied the first 8 lines from the engine output.

Hello, I believe this is my first chess.com forum post!
I recently got back into chess and started analysing some games in Scid vs Pc and I found myself getting rather confused about something.
Below is a copy and paste from Stockfish analysing a position. I understand the numbers in the "[ ]" type brackets, for example looking at the first line, 1 [-2.20] 48.... Bd7 is saying that black is up 2.20 points. I also understand the coordinates shortly afterwards as a suggested variation.

What I do not understand however, is what the (0.00) after every single variation is refering to. Sometimes this number fluctuates a little but I have no idea what that number means and I really cannot find out online despite looking for sometime.
If one of you knowledgable folk here at chess.com know and wouldn't mind sharing that information that would be fantastic :)
