Drawn Game Analysis

Yes, there was a way to win. 38.c3 ... 39.Rd4 ... 40.f4 ... 41.Rd5
Depending on blacks reply, of course.

Kingfisher...white most certainly does not have a win with 38.c3 Black's reply of 38...d5! solitifies black position and makes a draw almost certain. A possible line would follow 39. Re3+ 39...Kf6 1/2-1/2
Don1...i agree with you in saying that on move 26 that black has the advantage. Not only is white's isolated d-pawn a major target but black's king is much more active. At this point Black should be able to create some sort of attack with a passed h-pawn that would required the attention of some white pieces, thus creating weaknesses elsewhere.
JFercan...i played out the line of 39.f4 instead of the move 39.Rd3 and i found that black still has simple defenses of 39...Rc4 40.g3 40...d5 puts white no farther ahead.
As for if there is a win after move 38, i would say no unless black gives away a pawn somehow. If black plays defensively solid and keeps making threats, this game should be a draw :)
