Yes it is. Can you help me out here and explain the move 19....kg7.

The annotation text in the game you posted explains it.  The idea is to play rh8, trade off a rook or both, and thereby ease the defensive task.  Black is currently up two pawns, and after kg8, it looks like black might actually be winning.  Neither extra pawn is especially secure, but if black's king is not in danger, the extra pawns, two bishops and vulnerabilities in white's own king position should eventually tell.

It takes the engine quite a while to get white's sacrificial attack -- engine initially likes black quite a bit after kg8.

There could also be some ideas of white playing Nd5 in some situation and if Nxd5 Bxd5 there is Qxg6+ threat for Black to worry about - basically he won't be able to get away without ...Kg7, and preparing ...Rh8 is also logical (as mentioned) and it's also not easy to suggest alternatives for Black at that moment.

I think Kg7 to simplify and to make his defensive task easier. Always try to simplify when you can whilst under an attack. More concretely, I think because he saw Bd5. Bd5 is threatening Qxg6+ and black can't take the Bishop on d5 because if he gets the Knight on d5, there's a hole on f6 and makes the Queen vulnerable for forks.

Oh welp, looks like @JamesColeman posted exactly what I posted like a second before me :/
