Overall, this is a very confusing game. You played the opening well in the sense that your opponent blundered first, and you were able to capitalize on it twice! You had a HUGE lead in BOTH material and tempo. I mean either one would have won you the game, but you had both! All your moves are pretty logical and blunder-free.
Then you just drop pieces left and right! Black starts to recoup his loses. Then he changes his mind and gives you all the material back, so you are still up 5 points in the endgame (used to up 2 pieces for a pawn in the opening and now you are up a full Rook)! And then the downward spiral continues again. In the end you say this should have been a loss for you, but in fact, this should have been TWO LOSSES for you because you had two chances to win!
You did well in analyzing the game. You see your blunders. What is confusing is that in the opening you play like you're a 1300-1400 player or maybe even higher, and then you played like a 900 player in the middle game. You seem to know the mistakes and how to avoid them. Why you don't is the baffling thing.
I play relying on my opponents moves sometimes and sometimes I just play stupid. I plan on playing against my self on the board so that I can't go for tactics I see unless they are forced because I will play both sides....it might break my habit.

Why is it a nuisance?
Out of my last ten Live Chess games I have lost 9 and drawn one.
So I decided that I need a spanking so I called my girlfriend to come over ;)
