Yes I recall thinking the same thing during the game about exf4 regarding DSB development and center pawn control. I wanted to apply pressure while I had the lead in development and space, but could not figure out how to do it. Nh5 is not a move I would've considered since in my brain knights on the outside are weakly positioned. Thank you for your reply! You've given me something to think about.
Hi, first time posting and first time playing a rated game OTB. I thought I'd post my game and see what people thought. I played black and the game continued for two more moves but after my opponent punished my ...Kh7 blunder with Rxf6, I resigned.
A couple of thoughts from my own analysis:
-I'm not sure why I didn't capture the pawn after 10) ... e5, I think I was afraid of opening the file for the rook. Same with after moving 20) ... h6, I specifically moved there to capture if he moved g5, but then second guessed myself as I'd be opening the h file.
-Am I losing tempo with my Queen moves?
On creating the post/game misclicked g6 on move 22, it should be g5 and I didn't know how to go back/move the variation to the main line. Sorry about any confusion there!
