French defence: black genuinely disconnected?

All identities protected - but was the disconnection genuine or a resignation in disguise?  Was this a draw technically?

This looks utterly depressing for Black, and probably is objectively lost too. It's really hard to defend c6.

@harryz I'm pretty much the same.  @mainline_novelty - I thought he might play Rc6 to defend the c pawn

Yeah, but the problem is, White can stick his Rook on c5, and Queen on c3, and keep Black tied up, and then either break through with some sack on the Queenside, or start targeting weaknesses on the K-side.

That said, I don't think Black should be resigning here, but Black probably was just completely disgusted with his position and just decided to ragequit.

Agreed. If he gets a rook, or queen to the other side of the board it would be ugly for white Rc8, followed by Returning the knight to its octopuss potentialities, and making R or Q able to double up as far as f2.

The thing is, if you stick a Knight on c4, I'll sack on e4 and play c4, which I think should be really dangerous for Black.
