When analyzing a game using Fritz 9 (or any other version), has anyone ever seen the graphical annotations. According to the manual checking Graphical: "allows the program to include coloured arrows and squares in its annotations." I have yet to see these arrows or squares and was wondering what I should be looking for. I have analyzed games with this checked and unchecked and do not see a difference.
I see them, but rather infrequently. Maybe 1 in 10 games or so. I've never seen one that I would consider useful though. Usually its a 'prepares for xxx' annotation and the prepared move is displayed with an arrow from the the piece that will move. In my experience move is either very obvious or irrelevant to the game, so not useful.
