Game analysis from my tournament

Ok so I went to that international tournament the "4th Ishmia Open". I paid up wuite a lot of money, more than i could ever win in my U2000 section. The hotel and tournament was nice, although the U2000 was more like a U1800- I, rated 1636, was the 16th seed out of 100. In fact, I never played anyone higher rated than myself in that tournament, since the 1800 and 1700s did pretty badly and finished well below me. I finished 7th out of about 100 but in some of the games i played quite badly. Enjoy!

Game 1

Here I played against an old lady (about 70) rated 1257. I didn't play very well and could actually not win until she blundered.

Game 2

Here I played against a past G12 champion of our country. I drew with black in a complicated game:

Game 3:

Here I easily won against a man rated 1492:

Game 4:

Here a 13-year oldplayer blundered against me and I won easily:

Game 5:

A draw against a 1611: (I was losing before)

In round 6, my unrated opponent (greek rating 1785) blundered:

Game 7:

A draw against a lower-rated opponent, because I missed several wins: In fact  even agreed to a draw in a winning position.

Game 8:

Another Draw against greek U10 champion:

And yet another draw from the final round: (Again a pawn up!)

Overall I played badly and could have gained at least 1.5 more points. However I was the only player not to lose in the whole tournament ( the eventual leader finished at 8/9 losing only to my last-round opponent, who was third. My 8th-round opponent was second also with 7/9.) and gained 12 rating points.

Instructive mistakes are agreeing to a draw in the 7th round, Re3+?? in the 8th and not calculating the N endgame well in the 5th. Also not winning easily in the 1st round.

Anyone else?

I'll take a close look in a few hours.  :D  Congrats!

@ heister: Thanks a lot for your analysis! I wish more people could be like you, always helpful.

Really the move I was going to play would be 5...Nd7 but I didn't remember the line well and i was worried about 6.Nxf7 Kxf7 7.Qh5+ so i decided to play Be6 and later Nd7. This was an OTB decision.

Congrats why? I played horribly and won nothing.

No losses!  That's worth a celebration.  I'll do one more game in few minutes.

Game 5

Yeah, my king needs to be more active.... ok, i got this. I probably would have played Kf1 if i didn't see the mainline (lololol) 30.Nc7 Nc6 31.b5 Nxe5 32.b6 Nc6? (Nd7!) 33.Na6 Na5 34.Nc5 Nc6 35.Na6 1/2. This is what i had (mis) calculated.

Anyway, thanks for another great input!
