I'd like to share this game with you guys because I have both a question and a lesson to offer

My question is: How should I prepare myself better for openings? I admit I blatantly blundered a few pawns and a knight and probably more but these kind of openings just throw me off guard.

My lesson is: Its SOMETIMES good to not give up on that plan you have even if it gives you massive tunnel visioning issues and even if your plan requires your opponent to blunder to work.

I would start by picking one or two openings for white and black and use explorer to learn their common variations. You can also watch videos about these openings here or in youtube.
