Game Review now makes you scroll up and down constantly?

It seems there's a new update where the "retry" button and "hint" buttons are increasingly low on the screen as I proceed with the game review, necessitating scrolling up and and down with each key move analysis.

Is this happening for everyone?

Does anyone know how to make it so you can Game Review without constantly scrolling?

I'm not seeing the "retry" button and "hint" buttons now.  Is anyone else having the same problem?  I'm talking about after a game, pressing the big green "Review" button.  In the past, It would allow me to retry moves, and now I simply see "Show Moves" along with a "Coach".

Did you toggle on "Show Best Moves" mode? See top right above the first move in the move list

Yes.  Clearing my browser cache worked for me.

Thank you - clearing my browser cache brought back the "Hint", "Retry" mode.

I don't know if it was a update that did it but when you finished a game it use to tell you how many mistakes blunders,and misses, now there are (?)marks then you have to click scroll all the way to the bottom then click and then scroll all the way to the top to have the forward/backward moves. This use to be as simple as click and then start pushing through the moves. This is when playing on my phone through Google Chrome for reference

it makes me not want to to take the time to review my game which I always do. But I have 10-15 minutes to get a couple of games in I don't have time for all the scrolling and whatnot

The new gamereview update is a serious deterioration compared to the old version.

The highlights were previously clearly displayed on one page. Now you have to scroll down to see the whole picture.

Previously, the rating of the current move and the best move were clearly displayed. Now I have to click on the best move to see it.

So far I have even viewed my Lichess games with the Chess.com game review. Now I don't even want to look at my chess.com games with the game review, because it is much more complicated than before.

I also find it annoying that Chess.com makes such serious updates without informing the users. At first you don't know whether you have changed the settings unintentionally, whether this has happened after emptying the cache folder, or whether it is actually an update.

I sent a email and got a speedy response, I replied with our concerns, waiting for a reply back hopefully they can fix whatever has happened and we can get back to quickly seeing our mistakes LOL

I agree with other people that the previous version was nicer than the new version. Unless a new function was added to Game Review to make it better. I'd like the previous version restored.

The first 9 posts in this thread were dissing the "old" version. Those posts are from 2022.

Righto. But, the recent posts refer to the latest update that appeared about a week ago. I don't think an update was needed. It hasn't improved the experience. Now requires extra clicks to navigate around.

Hi all! Sorry for the frustration with the new version of Game Review. I have migrated everybody in this thread who had a negative experience back to the old version of Game Review (let me know if it did not go through for you). We will eventually be moving to a new design, but will be sure to think through all of your feedback. Thanks as always for sharing your opinions. It helps make Chess.com and the community great!
