Games vs Vicariously-I

I played 8 games against Vicariously-I, and I picked two of the more interesting games I thought were played with my analysis of the games.

This game looking back, really made me realize I need to think how each piece really effects each other on the board. Multiple times, it felt like I locked pieces into a position where they would be stuck defending another, just trying to push off an attack.

This game, I felt like I had some chances to make good positional advantages, but missed one obvious tactic, and missed one move for a line later in the game, that cost me heavily.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these games. I'll add mine when I get the chance.

Good analysis  and  you must have a strong ego to play software that is levels ahead of you.   Shows strong perseverance and willingness to learn.   well done !!

The games were for a club tournament. And what do you mean by software? I hope you're not suggesting that I used an engine.

I assumed Vicariously-I was a computer opponent

Lol and your 1st blitz loss too

No I also lost one game against @attilaturzo and @SmojLee but he was banned for cheating.

Well I can see why he hasn't lost many blitz games. His ability to calculate quickly in complicated positions is pretty exceptional (compared to me atleast).

To be honest calculation is one of my weaker areas. I mainly rely on intuition and experience in blitz.

Ha! I was correct when I said, "If I wait long enough... his internet might go down" during the tourney match with him.

Ok here are my thoughts on the games:

In both of these games you made a pawn move that created weaknesses in your position (16. b4 in the first game and 7. b6 in the 2nd game). These weaknesses eventually led to favorable tactics for me and the loss of material for you. Remember that EVERY pawn move leaves some kind of weakness behind. Carefully weigh the pros and cons every time you are about to push a pawn. Experienced players will recognize the weak squares/pieces in your position and take advantage of them.

Haha yeah that's what I was worried about.
